HP ENVY 15-ed0000 x360 Convertible Laptop PC (8JG84AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, my pc was acting strange and all of a sudden, the os stopped working all together. I had no other option other than to reinstall the whole os, but when I booted the clean installation, all the notebook features were gone. I have no bluetooth, touchscreen, audio and any other feature available. I don't know how to install all those drivers and apps required and any drivers I found on hp sites are not working. Is there like a collection of drivers and apps I can download somewhere?

Hi @medus24,

Thank you for the response.

Here's what you can try next:

Install Drivers Using Windows Device Manager

Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager.

See which devices have a yellow triangle, (means driver missing).

Right-click → Update driver → Search automatically for drivers.

This pulls drivers from Microsoft’s massive library (sometimes newer than HP's site).

Manually Install Chipset Driver First

Chipset drivers control almost everything (USB, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, audio ports, power).

Go to Intel’s official site → Intel Driver & Support Assistant → Install it.

It auto-detects your CPU + motherboard and gives the latest chipset, Bluetooth, graphics, Wi-Fi, touchscreen, and audio drivers.

This will bring back a LOT of your missing features, more than HP’s site can.

Missing HP Apps (like Pen Control)?

Since HP doesn't list them separately to download, here’s how we sneak them back:

Install HP Command Center & HP Pen Control from Microsoft Store:

Open Microsoft Store.

Search and install:

HP Pen Control

HP Command Center

HP QuickDrop (optional for file sharing)

HP Audio Control (if needed)

These apps were preloaded but you can reinstall them from Microsoft Store for free!

HP Recovery Manager (optional method if nothing else works):

HP laptops have a hidden recovery partition that can reinstall factory apps without wiping your Windows again.

Press Esc or F11 during startup → Choose System Recovery → Then reinstall drivers and applications (no full reset, just apps and drivers).

This only works if the recovery partition wasn’t wiped.

I hope this helps.

Hi @medus24,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access HP Support Website:

Download Drivers:

  • Audio Drivers: Look for audio drivers suitable for your system and download them.
  • Bluetooth and Wireless Network Drivers: Locate and download Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers.
  • Touchscreen and Firmware: Install any touch screen drivers and firmware updates.
  • Chipset Drivers: These are crucial for system stability. Make sure to download them.
  • HP Software: Download and install HP-specific software like HP Support Assistant which can help keep your drivers up-to-date.

Install Drivers:

  • After downloading, double-click each driver file and follow the installation instructions on the screen.
  • Make sure to restart your device after installing each driver to ensure proper installation.

Use Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on 'Check for updates'. Download and install any available updates as they might include necessary drivers.

HP Support Assistant:

  • If not already installed, you can download HP Support Assistant from the HP Support website. This tool can automatically find and install updates for your HP devices.

Verify Installation:

  • Check if all the functionalities such as audio, Bluetooth, touchscreen, etc., are restored.

I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply and list of possible fixes. Unfortunately, I already tried that all and it didn't help. First of all, there is no windows 11 version on the site although I had windows 11 on the device before. Since the first thing I did, when I installed the os, was to update it, that shouldn't be a problem either. I installed the newest drivers available (for windows 10 at least), but it didn't solve any of my issues and many of the drivers that I needed weren't there at all. I also tried the HP Support Assistant, but it just said that everything was up to date. Lastly, I need to somehow get all my hp apps back, since I used my HP Pen quite often and the pen control app is not there.
