My son did a fresh install of windows 7 basic. Due to a Virus.
However, he downloaded a operating system that had no drives at all. We only have the operating system.
I am trying to download internet driver but I don't know which one. https:// support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-8460p-notebook-pc/5056942
Trying to download driver to access the internet so I can download windows 10 again. I have my product key. Which one do I download. I am connect directly via cable to the internet.

Hi:
When the wireless adapter needs a driver, there will be a device listed under the Other Devices category labeled as a Network Controller.
Find the Network Controller device in the device manager, and post the hardware ID for it, so I can figure out what driver it needs.
Use this guide to find that information...

Network Adapters
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
all I got.
I don't think my son downloaded the right windows 7, as this windows was installed as he was only going to use it to connect to the net and download windows 10 using the product key we had before.
From the list I gave, which ones should I download that is relevant. Only want driver that lets me connect directly through the modem itself, not wifi.
