I restored back to factory. When I take the tablet off of the keyboard to use in tablet mode I do not see a keyboard nor does one come up when I am in a field that requires typing. This is not a convertible, the tablet comes off of the keyboard.

kem579, I thank you for your reply. I did try this and it did not work. I tried it before I posted, which I should have added in my original post. I was so aggrevated that I forgot. What I ended up doing was forcing the Windows 10 1709 update to go through. Windows wasn't showing it as being needed. Once I got that update through I was able to turn go into the Settings --> Personalization --> Taskbar --> Turn System Icons On or Off --> and turned on the Touch Keyboard (this option wasn't here prior to doing the 1709 update). I do appreciate the response though. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello pturzy,
Please look into Settings > Devices > Typing > Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there's no keyboard attached to your device or it may be worded Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and there's no keyboard attached.
Hope this works,
Eddy
