HP Pavilion x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ek0000 (54B26AV)

Got latest HP BIOS Update. Bios timing setting is set to NEVER but backlighting on keyboard has reverted to going off after 20-30 seconds of non use. This PERMANENTLY BACKLIGHTING is a critical issue for me and the ONLY reason I bought the HP laptop, now out of warranty.

Let me guess. The new Bios Update eliminated the permanent backlit keyboard option? For "energy" reasons? If so, let me tell HP something. THAT is the ONLY reason I bought my HP laptop. I need that keyboard lit permanently, to do my creative work, which I often do in a darkened room in the middle of the night (someone else is sleeping in the room). If you are not going to allow the option of a Permanent backlit keyboard I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER HP PRODUCT AGAIN!

If I am incorrect please let me know how to activate the PERMANENT backlit keyboard. btw, my laptop is now out of warranty and I am NOT paying HP $99 for a one-time tech support session or hundreds of dollars for another year or less of warranty!
