Hi @Emilsw2006,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
- Have you recently made any changes to your system's hardware or software?
- Are you experiencing any specific issues that prompted you to access the BIOS?
- When you turn on your laptop, does it show any logo or splash screen before Windows starts loading?
- Are you seeing any error messages or unusual behavior during startup?
- Have you attempted to enter the BIOS using any specific key combinations? If so, which ones?
- Are you receiving any prompts or feedback when you try to enter the BIOS?
- Is your keyboard functioning properly during the boot process?
- Are you using a wired or wireless keyboard, and have you tried using a different keyboard?
- Are you able to access other boot options like Safe Mode or Recovery options?
- Have you tried performing a hard reset or power cycle of the laptop?
Let's try these steps meanwhile.
Turn Off the Laptop:
- Ensure the laptop is completely powered off. If it’s on, shut it down by pressing and holding the power button until it turns off.
Power On and Enter BIOS:
- Turn on the laptop and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly (about once every second) until the Startup Menu appears.
- If Esc does not work, try pressing F10 (which is often used to enter BIOS on HP laptops).
Use Correct Key:
- If the Startup Menu appears, select the BIOS Setup or Enter Setup option. This will take you into the BIOS configuration.
Alternative Methods:
- If you are unable to access the BIOS using Esc or F10, you might try other keys such as F2 or Delete, depending on the specific model and configuration.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @Emilsw2006,
Please find the remaining steps below.
Check Documentation:
- Refer to the HP Victus 15L user manual or HP's official support website for the exact key or method for accessing the BIOS if the standard keys do not work.
Hardware Reset:
- If you still cannot access the BIOS, consider performing a hardware reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try accessing the BIOS again.
Considerations:
- Firmware Updates: Ensure that your laptop's firmware and BIOS are up to date. Sometimes, updates can change the way you access the BIOS or improve stability.
These steps should help you enter the BIOS on your HP Victus 15L and troubleshoot any related issues.
If none of these steps work, contact HP phone Support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
