HP Pavilion x360 Laptop- 14m-dw0023dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased this laptop over 3 years ago. One of the selling features that help with my decision was free upgrade to Windows 11. Every time I check updates I get the "Coming soon: Windows 11" banner. It says there is nothing that requires my attention and once the update is ready I'll see it on the page.

My warranty has expired so there is no contacting HP without paying.

There is some "safeguard" hold from Microsoft that is preventing an upgrade but I can't get answers as to how long, how to by pass or fix.

Anyone out there have an answer that will help?

Thanks

Hi:

You can upgrade to W11 today by clicking on the blue Windows 11 Installation Assistant button at the link below (1st option) to get the free upgrade to W11.

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

You have 10 days to go back to W10 in case things don't work as they should, and you don't delete any of the upgrade files or delete the Windows.old folder.

Downgrade from Windows 11 to Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

HP has no W11 drivers on your notebook's support page.

Most of the time the W10 drivers will work but in some instances they won't.
