I just bought a new hard drive to replace the old one which was showing the same thing. How do I fix this?

Hi:

You have to install an operating system on the drive.

Hard drives don't come with operating systems on them.

I have the operating system on my USB but how do I install it when that message is all that appears?

Are you booting from the Windows installation media?

You have to have the installation media in the DVD drive or USB port, turn on the PC, immediately tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that select the DVD or usb flash drive and press the enter key.

The PC should boot from the installation media and the OS installation process should begin.

I just did that but the installation process doesn't begin

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem would be then.

The PC should have booted from the installation media, asked where you want to install Windows, you select the hard drive, and then Windows should install.

Thank you very much for your help. I will try again later

You're very welcome.

Sorry that I wasn't able to help you get Windows to install.
