HP Recommended

I’ve been trying to update my laptop to the newest software for almost two years and it refuses to download. It does the loading thing and then doesn’t do it. I also have an issue with downloading from the App Store, it knows the apps need updating and it constantly loads but never downloads. Please help I’ve tried everything and I can’t talk to someone about it as I am hard of hearing.
