@aych-pee That should have ideally removed the notifications as well as the icon from the taskbar, however, since the issue persists, please uninstall the software using the below steps (as this could be a installation glitch) and reinstall it using this link: click here for a fresh copy to resolve the issue.

  1. In Windows, search for an open Uninstall a program.

  2. On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall.

    Figure : Uninstall HP Support Assistant

    Uninstall screen from the Control Panel with HP Support Assistant highlighted
  3. Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Support Assistant.

    Figure : Uninstall confirmation

    Confirmation screen to uninstall HP Support Assistant with Yes selected
  4. Restart your computer to complete the process.

OK, so I uninstalled and re-installed the app, then signed in with my HP ID.

I think the issue is this:  there are two additional devices listed than what I was showing previously.  They are old devices that are no longer in use that, I assume, I had removed from HP Support Assistant in the past.

Is it possible that there were updates showing for me for those devices that I had previously deleted?

If so, is that issue corrected in the latest version of HPSA?

@aych-pee

I am not sure if the issue is fixed on the latest version. But I would still suggest you check if there is an updated version. If yes, uninstall the existing HPSA and install the updated one.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
