Victus by HP Laptop 16-e0202nw
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone,

I am facing a persistent issue with the OMEN Gaming Hub app on my laptop, and I've completely run out of ideas. The software constantly throws an "Unanticipated Error" (Непредвиденная ошибка) and refuses to load.

My Setup:
- Laptop: HP Victus by HP Laptop 16-e0202nw
- OS: Clean install of Windows 11 Pro (64-bit), fully updated.

The Symptom:
If I go to Windows App Settings and click "Reset" on OMEN Gaming Hub, the app will launch perfectly fine EXACTLY ONCE. However, immediately after the first system restart/reboot, the app falls straight back into the "Unanticipated Error" loop. It seems like the interface loses connection with the background HP services during the Windows boot sequence.

What I have ALREADY tried (with zero success):
1. Format disk and perform a 100% clean installation of official Windows 11 Pro.
2. Update all drivers and chipset components via Windows Update.
3. Completely disable "Fast Startup" in Windows Power Options.
4. Disable "Memory Integrity" in Core Isolation settings.
5. Uninstall and reinstall the app from the Microsoft Store multiple times.

Since this is happening on a completely fresh and clean operating system, it has to be a software bug in the latest version of the Hub or a compatibility issue with the current BIOS firmware.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? Is there a way to download an older, stable standalone installer of OMEN Gaming Hub that doesn't rely on the Microsoft Store updates?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @Oleksandr231321,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for the detailed information and for outlining all the troubleshooting you've already completed. Given that the issue persists even after a clean installation of Windows 11 and recurs after every reboot, it appears to be related to the OMEN Gaming Hub software components or services rather than the Windows installation itself.

Could you try the following:

  1. Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
    • Remove OMEN Gaming Hub.
    • Restart the laptop.

  2. Install the HP OMEN Gaming Hub SDK Package
  3. Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub
    • Install the latest version of OMEN Gaming Hub from the Microsoft Store.
    • Restart the laptop once more and test whether the application opens normally after boot.

The SDK package is responsible for communication between OMEN Gaming Hub and the underlying HP services and hardware controls. If the SDK component is missing, corrupted, or not registering correctly during startup, it can result in the "Unanticipated Error" behavior you're describing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi, thank you so much for trying to help! I tried your method, but unfortunately, it didn't work, and the error still appears as soon as I log back into the app. Still, I really appreciate your time and effort!

Hi @Oleksandr231321,

Thank you for the update, and we appreciate you taking the time to try the suggested steps.

Since reinstalling OMEN Gaming Hub and the OMEN Gaming Hub SDK Package did not resolve the issue, and the error returns immediately after you sign back into the app, we'd like to gather a little more information.

Could you please let us know:

  • What is the current BIOS version installed on your notebook?
  • Are you signed into OMEN Gaming Hub with an HP account or a Microsoft account?
  • Does the error appear before you sign in, or only after logging into the application?

Also, please check whether all of the following services are running:

  • HP Omen HSA Service
  • HP Analytics Service
  • OMEN SDK Service

You can check this by opening Services (services.msc) and verifying that these services are running and set to start automatically.

If possible, please also share a screenshot of the "Unanticipated Error" message and let us know whether any error is recorded in Event Viewer under Windows Logs > Application at the time the issue occurs.
