My machine does not work well with my audio mixer and Zoom. It wants to keep the noise reduction feature on and I do not want that because I play music while I am talking. Also, it doesn't seem to be compatible with my CD/DVD burner. Do any of you know the problem and solution?

Hi @RLGJR,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding audio and CD/DVD burner issues on OMEN PCs!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Audio Mixer and Zoom Noise Reduction Issue
The noise reduction feature in Zoom can sometimes interfere with audio quality, especially when playing music. To disable or adjust this feature, follow these steps:
Disable Zoom Noise Reduction:
- Open Zoom and go to Settings.
- Navigate to Audio.
- Under Advanced, you will find options for Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation.
- Set Noise Suppression to Low or Off.
- Disable Echo Cancellation if it's enabled.
OMEN PC Audio Settings:
- Open the Control Panel and go to Sound.
- Select the Recording tab and choose your microphone or audio input device.
- Click on Properties, then go to the Enhancements tab.
- Disable all enhancements if any are enabled.
HP Support Assistant for Audio Drivers:
- Launch HP Support Assistant and check for any updates for your audio drivers.
- Ensure your audio drivers are up to date to avoid compatibility issues.
CD/DVD Burner Compatibility
Compatibility issues with your CD/DVD burner may arise due to outdated drivers or device conflicts. Try the following steps:
Update CD/DVD Burner Drivers:
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start Menu and selecting Device Manager.
- Expand the DVD/CD-ROM drives category.
- Right-click on your CD/DVD burner and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Check for Compatibility Issues:
- Ensure that the CD/DVD burner is compatible with your OMEN PC's hardware and software configurations.
- Consult the manufacturer's documentation for any specific requirements or recommendations.
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Launch HP Support Assistant and check for any updates for your CD/DVD burner or related drivers.
- Follow any troubleshooting steps or updates suggested by HP Support Assistant.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for your response. My machine is also currently out of warranty with you but I have a third party 3 year warranty that I do not know how to access.
OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-k0XXX

Hi @RLGJR,
Thanks for your update!
Just a quick note regarding the warranty, since your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop (16-k0XXX) is out of HP warranty and you're covered by a third-party 3-year warranty, please note:
HP does not manage or provide support for third-party warranty services.
To get assistance under that plan, we recommend that you contact the provider or retailer where the third-party warranty was purchased. They should be able to guide you on claim procedures, coverage, and service options.
That said, if you ever need software support, driver help, or troubleshooting guidance, feel free to reach out here, we’re always happy to help however we can! 😊
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
