Hey! I have formatted my laptop which is already having preinstalled "Office 2021 Student" for lifetime.

Now I am not able to recover the "Office 2021 Student". Also, I am unable to recover my Microsoft account which was being used. Request you guys to please resolve my issue. Let me know if need any details.

Hi @anand423123

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Losing access to Office 2021 Student after formatting your laptop can be frustrating, but there are ways to recover it. Here’s what you can do:

1. Sign in to Your Microsoft Account

Since Office 2021 Student is tied to your Microsoft account, try signing in:

  • Go to Microsoft’s Services & Subscriptions page.
  • Sign in with the email ID that was originally used to activate Office.
  • If successful, you should see Office 2021 Student listed.
  • Click Install to download and reinstall Office.

2. Recover Your Microsoft Account

If you can’t access your Microsoft account:

  • Visit Microsoft’s account recovery page.
  • Enter your email or phone number and follow the recovery steps.
  • If you don’t remember the account details, check any old emails for Microsoft purchase confirmations.

3. Check for Office Preinstallation

  • Open Control Panel > Programs & Features.
  • Look for Microsoft Office in the list.
  • If found, try launching Word or Excel and signing in with your Microsoft account.

4. Use Microsoft’s Office Recovery Guide

Microsoft provides official steps to reinstall Office after formatting. You can follow their guide here.

Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance!
