My computer started a BIOS update when I turned it on. Everything went smoothly, then when the computer rebooted, it stayed on the black screen with the red square in the middle for about an hour so far. Is this normal or is something wrong?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is stuck on a black screen after a BIOS update.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you hard shutdown the computer by press the power button until the computer goes and then wait for a minute and turn on the computer and check whether the computer boots to BIOS.

If you continue facing the issue, then rollback the BIOS to the previous version.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
