Product: Omen Gaming hub

My omen Gaming Hub software is launching then becoming completely unresponsive after the window opens, fully locks up to the point of the window being unable to be moved. the program does not hard crash either, it stays open and unresponsive even to attempts to close the window, necessary to use task manager to close properly most of the time. Already tried the windows repair function in the windows setting menu, as well as completely reinstalling the software by first uninstalling through windows settings menu, neither of which changed anything.

It started about a week back as I got my new monitor and installed for the first time.

I could get into the software, configure a few things - but after linking my MS account then re-opening OGH the UI completely deadlocked. It even affects the responsiveness of other OS parts, like text input in a web form like this slows down.

You can only App Settings - Terminate (or Task Manager). App Settings - neither Repair nor Reset really helps.

I have finally uninstalled and re-installed - now it locks up at the Welcome Screen with the EXPLORE button 😄 If you're fast enough you may click and get to "MANAGE OPTIONS" for privacy settings, then the UI locks up there 😄

 

I'm on Win11 23H2 22635.3930 btw with most current updates applied, last being Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22635.3930) (KB5040550)

Me too.

 

I love the new HP Transcend 14 but software isn't as good nor useful as Playnite with missing links to EA, Epic, Blizzard, etc. It only has Steam.

 

Omen Gaming Hub jams up my PC and affects the performance of other apps. I have to force-close many times recently. The Omen branding has been around for quite some time now and this SHOULD NEVER happen. Please don't make me regret my decision of switching over from Asus ROG laptops PLZZZZZZ.... C'mon! Even Playnite is better than this trash software that won't even run at times. What gives HP? You don't like us new / returning customers???
