HI @ExarKunDS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
High CPU usage from the OMEN Gaming Hub can indeed slow down your computer and cause overheating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Update OMEN Gaming Hub:
- Open the OMEN Gaming Hub and check for any available updates. Keeping the software up to date can fix bugs and improve performance.
2. Check for Background Processes:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check if there are multiple instances of the OMEN Gaming Hub running or if other processes are consuming CPU resources. You can right-click and end those processes if needed.
3. Adjust Settings in OMEN Gaming Hub:
- Open the OMEN Gaming Hub and go to the settings.
- Disable any features you don’t use frequently, such as performance overlays, RGB lighting effects, or any background tasks.
4. Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub:
- Uninstall the application from Settings > Apps.
- Reinstall the latest version from the official HP website or the Microsoft Store.
5. Check for Driver Updates:
- Ensure that your graphics and system drivers are up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant or visit the HP website to find the latest drivers.
6. Scan for Malware:
- Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or any reputable antivirus software to ensure no malware is causing high CPU usage.
7. Power Settings:
- Adjust your power settings to optimize performance. Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep and select Additional power settings. Choose a balanced or high-performance plan.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
