Hi @KnezA777,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue with the Omen command button on your HP Spectre x360 not working after reinstalling Windows, follow these steps.
Reinstall HP Omen Gaming Hub and HP Command Center:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest versions of the HP Omen Gaming Hub and HP Command Center.
- Install both applications and restart your laptop.
Install HP Hotkey Support:
- HP Hotkey Support is necessary for function keys and special keys to work properly.
- Download and install the latest version of the HP Hotkey Support driver from the HP Support website.
Update BIOS:
- Ensure your BIOS is up to date. Go to the HP Support website, find the BIOS update for your specific model, and follow the instructions to update it.
HP Support Assistant:
- Install and run the HP Support Assistant from the HP Support website.
- This tool can automatically detect and install any missing drivers and updates.
Keyboard Shortcuts Setting in Windows:
- Go to Settings > System > Keyboard.
- Check if there is an option to customize keyboard shortcuts and ensure that the F12 key is configured correctly.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure your Windows installation is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
Reinstall Keyboard Driver:
- Open Device Manager.
- Find and expand the Keyboards section.
- Right-click your keyboard device (usually named something like “Standard PS/2 Keyboard” or similar) and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the keyboard driver.
If none of these steps work, it might be necessary to check if there is a specific utility or software package from HP that manages these special keys, which might have been lost during the reinstallation of Windows. This can often be found in the utilities or software section of the support page for your specific model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
