I have a HyperX Alloy Origins Core and it has a nordic layout. But Omen light studio thinks it's us layout. And that causes the altgr and the key that does these <>| leds not light up. And my keyboards fine because with ngenuity the leds work.

Hi @Temone,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing a compatibility issue between your HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard with a Nordic layout and the HP Omen Light Studio software, which is incorrectly detecting it as a US layout. To address this problem, you can try the following steps.

  • Update Software and Firmware: Ensure that both the HP Omen Light Studio software and your HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard firmware are up to date. Check the official websites for any available updates and install them.
  • Customize Lighting Outside Omen Light Studio: Since you mentioned that the LEDs work fine with the HyperX Ngenuity software, you can consider customizing the lighting effects using Ngenuity and saving the settings on the onboard memory of your keyboard. This way, even if Omen Light Studio doesn't recognize the layout correctly, the lighting settings will still be applied.
  • Alternative Software: Look for alternative third-party software that may allow you to customize the lighting on your keyboard. Some keyboards are compatible with multiple software solutions, and you might find one that works better with your specific layout.
  • Keyboard Layout Settings in Windows: Ensure that your Windows keyboard layout settings are correctly configured for the Nordic layout. Sometimes, mismatches in the operating system settings can affect how software interacts with the keyboard.

Remember to back up any important settings before making changes, and always follow the manufacturer's instructions when updating firmware or software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
