I've been using my Omnibook 14 for roughly 3 weeks by now and suddenly, the touchscreen stopped working.
Before going to bed, my touch screen was working fine, and by time I woke up, it wasn't working. And now, my problem has escalated to HID-compatible touchscreen is now missing from my drivers and a Windows restart won't install it. Before I uninstalled it, I tried to enable it, I checked its properties, I did multiple restarts. No matter what I did, the driver was grayed out, so I decided to uninstall it and restart Windows. Except restarting Windows did nothing. I even did a factory reset and the driver is still gone. It didn't work in BIOS, the hardware diagnostics doesn't show anything for touchscreen.
I've tried to download the driver from the HP website, but I never got the driver I needed. Several hours of my life was dedicated to researching all the ways I could get this driver back. Nothing recommended is helping, and I don't have the option to visit a store in person, there isn't one located in my city.
