Recently I have noticed that OneDrive seems to control access to all my user files.  How do you recommend I deal with this?

Welcome to the HP Community --

You need to be careful with this -- if you have your data stored in the OneDrive cloud and the files are not resident on your computer, then destroying the files in OneDrive will result in losing your data.

  • Read about how OneDrive works - this is essential.
  • Figure out how your data is stored and where it is located -
  • Ask Microsoft for help if you have problems -
  • Make sure you know what you are doing before you disconnect your OneDrive

Examples

Ask Leo - How OneDrive Works: the Very Basics

and

Microsoft - Securely save and share what’s important with OneDrive

and
