Hello everyone,
got a nice Envy X360 with i7 1355 and a RTX 3050.
Problem: The GPU is only working with the original HP driver, if i install the current NVIDIA driver the gpu ist ultra slow and limited to 210Mhz.
The original driver is working but 1 year old and i play current games that need the actual driver to work properly. What to do?
Greetings from germany.
Clark

Hi @clarkathome,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing compatibility issues with the latest NVIDIA drivers on your Envy X360 with an RTX 3050 GPU. Here are a few steps you could try to resolve the issue.
- Clean Installation of NVIDIA Drivers: Sometimes, simply reinstalling the latest NVIDIA drivers can resolve compatibility issues. Before doing so, make sure to completely uninstall the existing drivers using a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to ensure a clean installation.
- Update BIOS and Drivers: Ensure that your system's BIOS is up to date, as well as all other drivers such as chipset and firmware updates from HP's support website. Sometimes, system updates can improve compatibility with newer GPU drivers.
- Check for HP Driver Updates: Even though the original HP driver works, there might be updated drivers available from HP's support website that provide better compatibility with newer games and applications.
Remember to always create a system restore point before making significant changes to your system, especially when dealing with drivers and BIOS updates. This allows you to revert to a previous state if something goes wrong during the troubleshooting process.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
