Bonjour,

Hello,
I have an HP pavillon laptop 15t-eg100 with 16GB of RAM. The PC bemcomes extremely slow when running on battery. Task Manager shows that the CPU are consistently running at 0.20 GHZ, with usage below 10%.
In the power settings, i've selected the " Best Performance" mode for battery and set the minimum CPU usage on battery to 80% but the issue persiste.
A battery health report indicates that the battery is in good condition.
However, i do not expérience this issue when thé laptop is plugged into AC power.

@Mahuklo, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Update BIOS
Go to: HP Drivers Page
Search for your model: HP Pavilion 15t-eg100
Download and install the latest BIOS and chipset drivers
Restart your laptop
Change HP Power Settings
Open HP Command Center (search in Start menu)
Set power mode to "Performance"
Save and restart
If you don’t have HP Command Center, skip to step 4
Disable Intel Power Management (Optional)
Open Device Manager
Expand System Devices
Find anything named "Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework"
Right-click → Disable
Restart and test on battery
Fix Windows Power Plan
Open Control Panel > Power Options
Click Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings
Under Processor power management:
Set Minimum: 100%
Set Maximum: 100%
Set Cooling Policy: Active
Click Apply → OK
Run HP Hardware Test
Restart and press Esc repeatedly → Press F2
Run Battery and CPU tests
I hope this helps.

Hello, This solution didn't work. I have the BIOS updated to the latest version, which is F28, dated March or May, I think. I had done it and redone it at your request. The hardware diagnostic test indicates that everything is fine (battery, processor, and RAM), but even at this level, if I'm on battery, the cursor movement is slow. The power management is set to maximum performance, and the minimum CPU usage frequency is set to 80%. I didn't see the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework driver, but I did see the Intel Dynamic Tuning driver; I tried to uninstall it, but it persists. A friend suggested the ThrottleStop software, which I used, and it worked, but the computer startup remains slow until ThrottleStop starts. I also have this problem when I start the computer on Debian 12. I assumed the problem is the CPU power management from the BIOS, but there are no power management settings in my BIOS.
