My computer is flagging up a driver problem with the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller.

Thanks

Hi:
I believe this one driver will install all of those devices...
This package contains the driver that enables the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework firmware. Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework provide system temperature and power utilization information for the system thermal protection to function properly. This package is provided for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
File name: sp69113.exe

Hi:
This driver should install that device...
This package provides the Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface (TXE) Driver for the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface enables the Secure Boot and provides services required for platform security features such as Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PPT).
File name: sp69116.exe

Hello Paul
Thanks for your suggestion. When downloading the file a message came up which said that the file was already installed.
Have you any further suggestions about installing the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller Driver?
Thanks
L

You're very welcome.
See if this works...
Go to the device manager and click on the PCI E/D Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp69116.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.

Hello Paul
Your instructions have sorted out the driver issue flagged up as for the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller so thanks for that advice and guidance.
What I am now left with are five Unknown Device items listed under Other Devices in Device Manager. They were there before under the PCI item. Do you have any further advice on what I might be able to do sort out these 5 items?
Opening up the files they refer to Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System and state 'drivers for this device not installed (code 28).
I hope you can help further.
Many thanks
L

You're very welcome.
Please post the hardware ID's for the remaining devices that need drivers.
To find the hardware ID, click on each device needing the driver (one at a time).
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the device window.
Now you will see a Property drop down list and it will be set to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the 3rd item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Hi Paul
Thanks for your patience. The Hardware ID's listed under Value for each Unknown Item are as follows:
1st = ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3400
2nd = ACPI\INT3401\0
3rd = ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3403
4th = ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3403
5th = ACPI\INT3403\6
I hope you can sort out what I now need to do from these details.
Thanks
L
