This person had the same problem:

The fix was to go to the Media Creation Tool site to download the latest version of Windows 10 and choose to "update this PC" rather than make an install disk and then choose to save personal files and apps.

HP "technically" does not support your PC for Windows 10 but a lot of computers that are not "technically" supported can run Windows 10 just fine. I could be more specific if we know exactly which model you have.

This was the way to do it, I used that tool and did an upgrade to this pavilion g6, I am sorry I can't get the number or model of that computer right now - as my lady was so happy and excited that here computer is up to date that she basically pushed out of here way.

I guess the model number is on the bottom of the laptop.

I can tell you, it does not have any fingerprint scanner as far as I can tell.

Back to the upgrade. It tok a while, but there seems to be no issue with any hardware at all, I did not install any specific drivers though (as they do not exists?), neither I bothered to figure out what graphic system is used.

It works and are only used to play roblox games at most, other then that it is only used for adjusting and editing photos, play music (shoutcast) nothing heavy so to speak.

//So thank you for your support - My lady is very happy now.
