Pavilion X360 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning,

I started using my brand new Pavilion x360 and everything seemed to be okay, but it happens that when I fully rotate it (360 degrees) in a matter of 30 seconds the screen turns off, even if Im writing on it or touching the screen, it only turns on again when I lift it a little bit.

I hope someone can help, thanks.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Good morning Krazy Toad,

thank you for your advice but the problem is still there. I downloaded and installed all of the updates but the screen still powers off when completely opened, could not it be an issue due to the strong magnets?

Also it doesn't go off in like a specific time: if I use it when I turn the pc on it could even take more than 10 minutes but if I try to use it after 3 or 4 hours it blacks out in less than 60 seconds. I'm starting to think it is an hardware problem.

Anyway I hope you can help me out to find a solution.

Please go to BIOS

Shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F10 till you reach BIOS

If the issue persists in BIOS, please contact HP Support in your region for service options

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

I ran the BIOS and used it in the tablet configuration and the desktop still went black almost immediately. But this time, focusing on the desktop, I could read something like it was all black but I could see something.

Any guess on what it could be?

Thanks for your help anyway.
