Hp ay503tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My pc starts to lag and hang whenever on charge. 5-6 seconds of extremely slow performance. Cpu usage and gpu performance takes a significant dip in those 5-6 seconds and these 5-6 second of lagging occurs very very frequently.

So basically, if I'm using my lappy while on charge, Im working between intervals of 5-6 seconds of painfully slow lagging pc and 5-6 seconds of normal performance, repeating over and over again.

This is having a significant impact on my productivity. Please help

@Rajesh50 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the computer hangs and slow performance.

Do not worry. Let's work together and get this issue addressed

I have a few steps to identify and resolve the issue:

Common causes of slow system performance:

  • Not enough free disk space or disk errors.

  • Applications that require a lot of system resources.

  • Too many tasks running at the same time.

  • Nonessential graphic features.

  • Not enough memory.

  • Overheating due to intensive graphic applications or dust in vents.

  • Running multiple instances of anti-virus software.

Turning off nonessential graphical features to improve system performance

Graphical features and programs can use a lot of system resources.

Turning off these features can improve system performance.

This section explains how to adjust visual effects for best performance and how to disable Windows Aero.
