HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fc0000 (8Z8M1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hey I have the envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop fc0707nz and had the g3 pen, however as I couldn't write with it I chose to buy a 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen as I read online that this pen would fit my laptop. However now I can't even connect the pen.

Hi @Yann12345,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can see how frustrating it must be to invest in a new pen and still not be able to connect or write with it. Let’s break this down and get your HP 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen working with your HP Envy x360 14-fc0707nz.

Steps to Connect and Use the HP 700 Rechargeable Multi-Pen

1. Charge the Pen

  • Use the included USB-C cable.
  • Charge for at least 30 minutes before first use.
  • The LED should glow while charging.

2. Enable Bluetooth (if using Bluetooth features)

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Press and hold the top button on the pen for 3–5 seconds to enter pairing mode.
  • Look for HP 700 Pen in the Bluetooth list and connect.

Note: Basic writing and drawing functions don’t require Bluetooth; they work via MPP when the pen touches the screen.

3. Test the Pen

  • Open Microsoft WhiteboardOneNote, or Paint 3D.
  • Try writing or drawing.
  • If nothing happens, try restarting your laptop and testing again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
