How to remove [edit] HP Analytics Service.
Apparently, HP makes this impossible. Even is one is able to forcefully remove the folder in which it resides, HP has destroyed its credibility with me, with an otherwise good hardware product.
While you cannot remove it, you can block it with Windows Defender Firewall!!!!
The best way I've found to do so is to download the Windows Firewall assistant tool that makes setting up specific rules a lot easier. It is "Malwarebytes Windows Firewall Control"
Once installed, set it to defaults and to "learning mode." Then, right click on the system tray and select the "rules panel."
In it, you can do a search and search "HP". Once you find the analytics, you can right click and block it. In order for it to ever contact the mothership again, it would have to ask to pass through the firewall in a popup of this mighty fine program.
