To see if the PC "sees" the drive, do the following:

1) enter "create and format" (without the quotes) in the search area and select the option when it is offered

2) This will open the Disk Management window

3) scroll down through the drives displayed

4) If the PC "sees" the drive, there will be a row for it in the display.  If it is shown there and does not have a drive letter, you can use that window to assign a letter and once that is done, you will have access to the drive.

If there is no row for it, or if you can not assign a drive letter, you can't use this drive on this laptop.
