Solved!

Plugged in, not charging: Non-removeable battery

HP Envy x360 m6 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Envy x360 m6 Convertible with the plugged in, not charging problem.  This PC has a non-removeable battery.  I have tried unistalling both the battery and adapter using the device manager, unplugged the adapter, both from the PC and wall socket, then shut down the PC.  Waited 5 minutes, the plugged in the adapter and restarted the PC.  Same results as before.  Support Assistant battery check states baterry working fine and HP diagnostics shows adapter passed.  Does anyone have a procedure that works with a non-removeable battery.

Plugged in, not charging: Non-removeable battery

Just a quick point of clarification.  Step 8 says to put back the battery.  Does that  mean I should have removed it earlier?  My product is an Envy x360, m6   Number M1V66UA#ABA.  It does not have a battery drawer for me to extract the battery.   Should I hold hold down the power button for a whole minute with the battery still connected?  The only software changes were windows updates; but, no updates were installed on the day this problem started.  Did the battery check and it shows fine.  HP diagnostics stated AC adapter PASSED.  Thanks in advance for your help.

@John225, Thanks for your response and time.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned the battery is nonremovable on your PC.

Remove all the devices connected to your PC, Unplug the charger and hold the power button for one minute to perform a hard reset on your PC.

Also, once you are into windows on your PC try updating the BIOS and chipset drivers on your PC and check if it helps.

Please update the BIOS on your PC using this link.

Try updating the chipset drivers using this link.

Let me know if this works!

Have a wonderful day ahead! :)
