Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting a pop up window for "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe" and cant find a way to correct the installation or remove it. HP customer support says to go through HP Smart Friend (new way to create revenue by making HP owners pay to get help with their computer) Does anyone have a fix for this pop up window error?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post you are getting an error message on your HP Product. Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Could you provide me with the exact model of the PC? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you recently made any software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?

Have you tried to perform Windows update? If you haven't please follow this link: HP PCs - Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Windows 10, 8, 7)

Alternatively, did you try to install .Net Framework? If you haven't please follow this link: Click here

 

Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting for further assistance.
