Hi. I noticed that my laptop changes power consumption mode (became quieter) if unplugged.
And I'm wondering if I can change it myself whether it is plugged in or not? Really need this feature

Here is how to change the power mode manually (in Windows 11) >> https://pureinfotech.com/change-power-mode-windows-11/

I tried it already, but this doesn't work like when it's unplugged

Could you be more specific what exactly did you do and what is not working as expected ?

Something else, based on your original post. If this is what you refer as different power modes... you say the device becomes quieter when unplugged.

Some PC models (including your OMEN) have an option in the UEFI BIOS to have their fan always ON when the power cable is plugged in (=PC is charging). May be you can boot to the BIOS (Esc/F10) and uncheck it. Make sure you save the changes in BIOS before exiting.

1. Sorry, I meant the “Power mode” setting in Windows 11.
2. This might work, I'll change it and see if it helps. And, question, how can this affect the laptop?
Thank you!

So, after I switched the setting in BIOS, the fans continuos working most of the time, even without a reason(only Chrome launched with 10 tabs), and sometimes they suddenly turn off for a ~minute. Still not the same as when the laptop is unplugged but we are closer
