I recently performed a reinstallation of Windows 11 on my HP Probook X360 435 G7. I was using my fingerprints at Power on Authentication (HP Sure Start) and Windows initialized directly without a second authentication step. By reinstalling the system, however, I had to insert the fingerprints and insert the Windows PIN to login (2 steps instead od one). I tried to configure the logon with Power On on the HP Client Security Software, and when I did, they reset my fingerprints and could not register them again (always at the end of scanning, a "registration error" appeared.
I have not been able to cross the Power On, because I do not remember the password. Although HP Client Security has removed the fingerprints, the old password is still there? I exchanged the Windows user password, and it's not the same as it is in Power On, right? Can it only be registered in the Bios menu?
And most importantly, I can support HP to be able to recover access to the device or there is nothing they can do? I lost my laptop? I have all the conditions/documentation to prove that the device is mine.
