I have my laptop plugged in but when I press the power button it doesn't power on. The small front lights light up though showing that it's actually getting power but the power button isn't turning it on. At some point it does turn on but it's up for just a few minutes and turns off again. Could anyone help. It's the probook 6470 model

This appears to be thermal shutdown. Possibly a fan is not spinning and the system quickly turns off

Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on and press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
