I tried to run the standard in the RUN window:

temp

%temp%

then prefetch...

After typing in prefetch, the window vanishes so I don't get a chance to select all, delete

Why would this be happening, how can I fix the issue?

UPDATE: ran system optimization through HP then powered laptop OFF and ON again. Prefetch now working in the run window...

UPDATE:

 I ran system optimization through HP assistant, then powered the laptop off and on again.

 

Prefetch now working.
