HP ProBook 450 G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everybody

I have the following issue with 2 HP ProBooks 450 G8:

As soon as I plug in a Docking Station, every plugged in USB-Device from the Notebook and the Docking Station fails. Sometimes it can take up to 5mins until the USB-Devices disconnect. The Device Manager shows "Unknown USB-Device (port reset failed)"

Each one of the two ProBooks have a different Docking Station. One is a HP USB-C Dock G5 while the other is a Terra Dockingstation 731 USB 3.0. (Note that one is USB-C and the other USB 3.0 so the problem cannot be a specific USB-C Port)

I have tried the following:

-Firmware Updates with HP Support Assistant

-Update Dockingstation

-Temporary deactivation antivirus

-Uninstalling the USB-Devices from Device Manager

-Test with another Notebook -> works

-Update from Windows 10 22H1 to 22H2

Anybody encountered a similar issue?

Thanks for your replies
