Windows has crashed twice in around 2 months. To fix it the first time i did a clean install and it helped but now windows crasahes again when starting up the computer. I think it is my main drive that is the problem as it is 7 years old and everything else seems to function as it should.
My main question is if anyone has more info on which nvme m2 drives are compatible and what speeds the motherboard can handle if i need to buy i new one. The information page for the motherboard here on hp doesnt exsist anymore. It is a tampa 2 motherboard

Before you replace the drive, run the Windows memory test and see if any of the memory chips have a problem.
Hard drives don't usually cause BSOD's (if that is what you are getting) and normally will produce a short or long 24-character DST failure code
But if you want to install a M.2 SSD, your PC's motherboard supports M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs.
Gen 3.0 or 4.0, but the Gen 4.0 SSD will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speed from your PC's gen 3.0 slot.
This model sold in Germany with the same motherboard as yours came with a 512 GB NVMe SSD.
