HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 27-ca1000i (4N5D8AV)

Greetings to the entire community.
I have a problem and it only happens to me with an application, and this is Photoshop.
While I am working on it, there is no problem, but when I leave open for a while without doing anything, when the team is suspended at 5 minutes, the computer is reset.
I have also removed the screen protects.
Has anyone had this problem with Photosop?
Thank you.

Hi @Luc_tfe,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Pavilion All-in-One PC is encountering an issue related to system suspension and Photoshop. This could stem from how the operating system, drivers, or Photoshop itself interacts with the hardware during sleep or idle states.

Potential Causes

Power Management Settings:

  • Photoshop may not handle sleep/resume cycles properly in certain configurations.
  • Your computer's power plan settings might conflict with Photoshop when the system suspends.

Driver Issues:

  • Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause resets or crashes when the system wakes up.

Photoshop Configuration:

  • Photoshop might have temporary file handling or memory management issues.

System Corruption:

  • There may be underlying issues in Windows related to suspension or wake-up states.

Steps to Resolve the Issue

Adjust Power Settings:

  • Open Settings > System > Power & Sleep.
  • Set Sleep to a longer duration or disable it temporarily to see if the problem persists.
  • Adjust advanced power settings:
    • Search for Control Panel > Power Options.
    • Click Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.
    • Expand Hard disk and set "Turn off hard disk after" to a longer time (or Never).
    • Under PCI Express > Link State Power Management, set it to Off.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Visit the HP support page for your model to download the latest drivers.
  • Update drivers for your GPU (e.g., Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD) via the manufacturer’s website if applicable.
  • Check for updates in Device Manager:
    • Right-click the Start menu > Device Manager.
    • Expand Display adapters, right-click your GPU, and select Update driver.

Update Photoshop:

  • Make sure you're running the latest version of Photoshop. Open Adobe Creative Cloud and check for updates.

Modify Photoshop Performance Settings:

  • Open Photoshop and navigate to Edit > Preferences > Performance.
  • Adjust memory usage to ensure Photoshop has enough allocated.
  • Try disabling GPU acceleration temporarily to test:
    • In the same window, uncheck Use Graphics Processor.

Run System Diagnostics:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant and run a system check to rule out hardware issues.
  • Check Event Viewer for crash logs:
    • Press Win + X > Event Viewer > expand Windows Logs > System.

Reinstall Photoshop:

  • If none of the above works, uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to resolve any corruption in the installation.

Test in Safe Mode:

  • Boot your PC into Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. If not, a third-party application or driver might be causing conflicts.

If the Issue Persists

If these steps do not resolve the problem, consider:

  • Running a Windows update.
  • Contact Adobe Support to see if this is a known issue with Photoshop on your hardware configuration.

No, the problem persists.
I reinstated the system from 0, that is, I did a clean Windows installation.
Update the BIOS, the graphics card controllers to the last version. Photoshop updated to the last version.
While I am working, there is no problem, the problem is, when the screen goes out, after giving it the time it is normally in 5 minutes.
I can't put the equipment in suspension. I have to have the option never activated.
When it is at rest and after 5 minutes, the screen is turned off and I have open photoshop, the computer is reset.
In configuration/system/home/off I have to have the option never.
I don't know if other users with this same team will happen to him.

Greetings.
