But I have problem with the WIFI conextion, because althoug the WIFI has 300 MB at less than  2 metres, my computer get less than 20 MB some times 2 MB. I know that the WIFI is working fine because after made the test, few seconds later I made the same test with my Cell Phone, and my Cell Phone register a velocity of 250 MB.  Someone can help me with that?

Hi @Eduardo_001,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Pavilion Notebook is experiencing slow WiFi speeds despite being near the router. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to improve the WiFi connection:

Update WiFi Drivers: Make sure your WiFi drivers are up-to-date. You can do this by going to the HP support website, entering your laptop model, and downloading the latest WiFi drivers available for your operating system.

Check for Interference: Other electronic devices or appliances, as well as neighboring WiFi networks, can cause interference with your WiFi signal. Try moving your laptop closer to the router or away from potential sources of interference like cordless phones, microwave ovens, and Bluetooth devices.

Change WiFi Channel: Log in to your router's settings and try changing the WiFi channel to a less congested one. You can use WiFi analyzer apps on your smartphone to identify the least congested channels in your area.

Reset Network Settings: Sometimes resetting your network settings can help resolve connectivity issues. You can do this by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Network reset on Windows 10/11.

Disable Power Saving Mode: Sometimes, power-saving settings can affect WiFi performance. Go to Device Manager, find your WiFi adapter under Network Adapters, right-click on it, select Properties, go to the Power Management tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

Update Router Firmware: Make sure your router's firmware is up-to-date. Check the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to update the firmware.

Check for Malware: Run a full system scan on your laptop to check for malware or viruses that may be affecting your network performance.

Consider External Antennas or Range Extenders: If your laptop has poor WiFi reception, you might consider using external WiFi antennas or range extenders to improve signal strength and coverage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
