lately, about a few days since I updated the bios(f,23A) , in 3D applications/and games the video card no longer runs at full capacity, what I mean is that the video card's TDP is no longer constantly high and is hovering around 44-52 W instead of 68-75W( and i have the latest driver for the gpu)

Hi @alex1172,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your GPU is not reaching its usual power consumption or performance levels after the BIOS update on your Victus by HP gaming laptop. This could be due to a few reasons related to the BIOS, power settings, or thermal limitations. Here's how you can troubleshoot this issue:
Check Power Settings:
- Open the Windows Power Options and ensure that your laptop is set to High Performance. Sometimes, power-saving modes can limit GPU performance.
- Go to NVIDIA Control Panel (if you have an NVIDIA GPU) and make sure the Power Management Mode is set to Maximum Performance under the "Manage 3D settings" section.
Thermal Throttling:
- The system may be throttling the GPU to avoid overheating. Check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU using tools like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to ensure the temperatures are within safe limits.
- If your system is running hot, it might be limiting the GPU's TDP to prevent thermal damage. Make sure the laptop is clean and the fans are working properly. You may want to use a cooling pad to improve airflow.
Check BIOS Settings:
- Since the issue started after the BIOS update, it's possible that the update changed the power settings. You can reset the BIOS to default settings to rule out any configuration issues.
- Some BIOS versions include features that can limit power to certain components for better battery life or thermal management. Check for any settings related to power management and GPU performance in the BIOS.
Update or Rollback BIOS:
- If the issue started directly after updating to BIOS version F.23A, it could be a bug introduced in the update. You could try rolling back to a previous BIOS version to see if it resolves the issue. Be sure to download the correct BIOS version from HP's official website.
- Alternatively, if you're on the latest version, you could check HP's support page for any new updates or patches related to the BIOS or GPU.
Reinstall GPU Drivers:
- Even though you mentioned having the latest drivers, sometimes a clean reinstall of the GPU drivers can help resolve issues. Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove the current drivers, and then reinstall the latest GPU drivers from the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA or AMD).
Check System Logs:
- Review the Event Viewer (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer) for any warnings or errors that might provide more insight into what's causing the TDP issue. Look under System and Application logs for any related entries
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

1.I managed all setting for performance
2.my temps are really good I mean ~63* for gpu and ~65* for cpu (celsius)
3.my bios setup doesn't have some settings like this it's a simple bios without too many configuration settings
4.I didn't try that
5I have done this many times to reinstal gpu drivers
6.I don't have any errors like that for tpm or video card
