Problemas ao tentar instalar o linux

Há um tempo eu tentei instalar algumas distribuições do linux no meu notebook (especificamente elementaryos e debian) e tive diversos problemas com isso:
 - O primeiro é que a instalação travava diversas vezes durante a instalação, e eu bootei o pendrive (testei com mais de um) diversas vezes, e o resultado em 90% das vezes era o mesmo: uma trava sem motivo, mesmo testando diversas configurações diferentes.
- O segundo é que, mesmo quando eu conseguia passar por essa instalação (que foram raras as vezes), o sistema sempre travava, alguns drivers nao carregavam direito como wifi e bluetooth.

Gostaria de entender se é um problema geral com o notebook (li em alguns lugares sobre tal incompatibilidade com as versoes do linux) e gostaria de entender se tem alguma distribuição em específico que eu não teria problemas em instalar.

A while ago, I tried installing several Linux distributions on my laptop (specifically Elementary OS and Debian) and encountered several problems:
- The first was that the installation would crash several times during installation. I booted from the USB drive (I tested with more than one) several times, and the result was the same 90% of the time: a crash for no reason, even after trying several different configurations.
- The second was that, even when I managed to complete the installation (which was rare), the system would always crash, and some drivers, like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, wouldn't load properly.

I'd like to know if this is a general problem with the laptop (I've read in a few places about this incompatibility with Linux versions), and I'd also like to know if there's a specific distribution that I wouldn't have any problems installing.
