Display driver is responsible for that. You can download and install it from below link:

NVIDIA GPU Driver- https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp145001-145500/sp145367.exe

Intel GPU Driver- https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp115001-115500/sp115295.exe

Note- Don't do anything while installation.

is it the gpu driver? or the laptop monitor driver?

I upgraded the drivers from intel website recently

for the laptop as a whole.

since then, the sound has been choppy.

the video resolution is limited ( used to be higher) ( I also have a piece of software called ITOP, for changing desktop backrounds etc...... could this be it?)

it also asked to change the gpu drivers

I am cautious mostly for this because I know the horror story's that I've heard from upgrading the wrong drivers)

but the resolution dropped. that's why I tried to dowload the drivers from intel (if that's even the gpu I have.) it worked but I remember something about dual gpu's in laptops. or was it two were possible? depends on which I Have.

All I know is resolution was higher at one point.

also: connected my tv via hdmi port 1080p older samsung tv.

friend who was IT told me that I needed to look at lcd screen resolution

and specs.

As it is my eyes don't focus as well so this resolution works ok, but

not practical for the applications

I origonaly bought the computer to do my

state required work for my food allowance coverage

but that hasn't come about as the state provided job coaches

steered me to work that was not even in my area's of previous work experience

and had been very hard. Long story short I upgraded it and have my email, games, applications and security suite

still hoping they see fit to give me work here at home on my computer so I can manage my life/diabetes/disability better

and still be compliant for my services

sorry for the explination. but all that kinda put me in a worse position over the last two years 3 years since I moved to this location and I was not considered for my best intrests for success.

🙂

so anyway I now have my games all set up and my applications

but they won't launch ( none of them) I was thinking it might be the

intel updat for my laptop I did.

thank you for the driver links

Why hp doesn't have a legacy site for these things

like they used to is not helping. or am I just not aware of the site.

First pause windows update, then download and Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstalled) in Safe Mode to uninstall both GPU drivers one by one. Then download, install and run hp support assistant from here.

HP support assistant app will automatically detect and install correct missing driver.

You likely encountered this issue because you downloaded the driver directly from Intel’s website. Instead, let Hp support assistant install it. You need GPU drivers, not LCD drivers, and the LCD drivers are not needed.

I downloaded the files and it ran

It said the OS was not supported

I have windows 11

I think it may be the monitor drivers

why can't I find the drivers on the HP website?

I don't want to have to go to a site that has the drivers, but may not be authorized.

I provided drivers in my first comment here. Did you try that?
