I was installing Windows 7 updates and it was taking a long time with absolutely no activity so I force shut it down.
To my surprise, when I turned it back on it showed:
"WARNING!! Machine is not in committed state".
Product Information not valid
The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid.
System BOARD (00A) -
Product Name
Product Configuration ID
Product Serial Number
Product SKU
ENTER - Continue Startup
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup
Please answer the following questions:
1. Why is this error appearing.
2. What caused this error to appear.
3. How can I get rid of this error.
Additionally, I DID NOT replace the motherboard, it occurred by itself, I am not responsible for this error AT ALL.

I have contacted HP about this problem and I have sent my laptop to their repair centre, only to find it deemed UNREPAIRABLE due to it being End Of Life "We no longer have the tooling to support this model." Is there anything I can do at all to fix this seemingly astrononically simple problem? Is there anybody that can help AT ALL? I am getting very impatient right now. I have waited over a month for answers. Please respond ASAP.

I don't know WHY I have to go so deep to get support for a problem that isn't even hardware related. Someone please give me any necessary software so I can solve this problem! I didn't even replace the motherboard, why is this happening?
