The key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Manage all your software licenses section. Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 product key is in there.

You do not need the product key to reinstall the OS. It will automatically activate once installed and connected to internet.(as it is in the firmware). During installation if asked for product key, just skip that "page".

If you are running on Windows 10 or 8.1 your product key is DIGITALLY SIGNED BY MICROSOFT and you don't need to enter it manually.
