After looking around some while on a a budget I decided to purchase a used HP Stream 11 Pro G4 - Celeron N3450 - 4GB RAM - 128GB SSD EB016338 (2UM05UT)
OS Windows 10 Professional
CPU Intel Celeron N3450 @ 1.10 GHz
Memory 4GB
Storage 128GB SSD
Graphics Intel HD Graphics
Display 11.6" HD UWVA Touchscren (1366x768)
microSD Card reader
Mostly so I can access the Internet and e-mail while traveling and not at my Home PC
I've owned and still own older laptops such as a rugged laptop with a dual core Pentium and 4GB main memory, however I wanted something that was light, doesn't take up much room and easy to carry around.
The Stream 11 hasn't arrived yet so I'm uncertain which of my existing apps I will be able to install and use.
e..g. While traveling off and on road I have installed and used on one of my other laptops with 4GB and a Pentium dual core ~2.5 GHZ.
Delorme Topo 10 North America which is used off-road and on-road in areas where there is no Cell Service and Wifi.
System requirements show
1.5 GHz or higher processor, Pentium 4, Athlon 64 or later. 2 GB of available hard-disk space (8 GB if all map data for North America is loaded to hard drive or a DVD-ROM Drive. 1024 x 768 screen resolution or higher. Since the Stream 11 has a 128GB SSD driver I would load 8GB of maps onto it's SSD drive.
I'm just wondering if the Stream 11 with Celeron N3450 & 4GB memory has enough system requirements to perform GPS mapping?
I'm going to install the the Delorme 10 to see how it does, if the Stream 11 doesn't function well enough I would probably downgrade Delorme Topo to an earlier version that requires less system resources.

Since it hadn't arrived yet I decided to return the HP Stream Pro G4 and get a HP ProBook 11 G2 11.6" i3-6100u 2.3GHz 8GB RAM 128GB SSD Win 10 Home Touchscreen
The ProBook 11 G2 appears to have a slight upgrade for the CPU and memory. The Probook's cpu is an i-3 (not a celeron) is also a dual core but operates at a faster clock speed with 3M cache. The main memory is 8GB vs 4GB. There are a few other differences such as the number of USB 3.0 ports and the Probooks Ethernet LAN adapter.
I'm not familiar with the newer laptops, within the last five - ten years and was looking for something to access the Internet while away from my home PC. Also perhaps as I've done in the past is use the laptop for GPS mapping while traveling. GPS has improved greatly however I still prefer to use the larger Topo mapping applications that come with their own maps while off-road and away from the Internet.
Delorme that I've used since their beginnings was acquired by Garmin however there has been no development I'm aware of since Garmin's acquisition.
