I went to Amazon to buy TurboTax 2022 and when I went to install it on my HP device and I received a reject message stating S Mode prevented the installation because it did not come from the Microsoft Store. I am using Windows 11 Home edition and I cannot find a solution on the web to remove S mode without upgrading my app to Windows 11 PRO for $99. I need help. Thanks.

Hi:
Can't you just select the option to Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store?
You shouldn't have to upgrade to W11 Pro.
Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

Computer was purchased from QVC 12/26/21 just before WIN11 was released and meets its specifications. Subsequently I updated it to WIN11 in the summer of 2022. Prior to that upgrade, I successfully installed Turbo Tax 2021 last January and this past November I install the last major update to the system. The system said I had Windows 11 Home edition but made no mention of S Mode until this past week when I attempted to install TT2022. I read the articles and watched the videos on how easy it is to switch out of it but I couldn't find any way to do it on my device. Incidentally, my wife's HP purchased a year earlier and also with Win 11 in S Mode, provides me with the option to do so. So, I decided to remove the past year's updates and start fresh again (Thanks to my new ASUS RT-AX68U router with AI Mesh unit located in the same room. I now have CMD app working but no reference to S Mode, but I was able to install TurboTax 2022 yesterday. Incidentally, I have no recollection of switching out of S Mode earlier. Thanks for your help!
