Using 1709 Windows 10.  I am unable to use the buttons on my HP s140 and your input did not work 😞

Hello, 

 

You are facing problem with "f2" Low  & "f3" High  brightness settings buttons, right?

 

If you feel that your screen brightness is full (100%) and you cannot adjust it then the first solution is to update your graphics driver...

 

Press & hold windows key + x key, then press M key on your keyboard.

Look for Display Drivers, Expand it. 

Then double click on Intel(R) HD Graphics driver then click on Driver tab> Update DriverSearch automatically for updated driver.

 

If you are unsure how to do it, Please provide me your laptop model no, so I can serach the right driver for you on the HP Drivers site. you can find it manully too https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
