Hi @houari5588,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it is when your HP Victus 16-d0003TX laptop’s built-in camera isn’t working or shows as “not attached.” It’s like trying to make eye contact with someone who’s just not there, especially when you need it for meetings, calls, or content creation.

Let’s walk through the steps to troubleshoot and hopefully restore your camera functionality.

Steps to Fix the Built-in Camera Not Working

1. Check for Physical Camera Presence

  • Look at the top center of your screen. You should see a small lens.
  • If it’s missing or covered by a plastic plug, your model may not have a built-in camera. You can confirm this by checking your product specs here.

2. Check Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager.
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
  • If you see HP Wide Vision HD Camera, right-click → Enable (if disabled).
  • If it’s missing, click View → Show Hidden Devices.

If still not visible:

  • Go to Action → Scan for hardware changes.

3. Install or Update Camera Driver

4. Check Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Camera.
  • Make sure Camera access for this device is turned ON.
  • Also, enable Allow apps to access your camera.

5. Use HP Webcam Troubleshooter

HP has a dedicated guide for webcam issues: 🔗 HP PCs - Troubleshoot the webcam (Windows) | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
