Hi @HAwhatever,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're receiving a battery alert message from your HP computer. This message indicates that the storage capacity of your laptop's battery is very low, and it's suggesting that you may need to replace the battery for optimal performance.

Here are some steps you can take.

Check Battery Health:

  • On Windows, you can check the battery health by right-clicking on the battery icon in the system tray, selecting "Power Options," and then clicking on "Battery health" or a similar option.
  • On some HP laptops, you may have dedicated software for managing power options, and you can check the battery health within that software.

Calibrate the Battery:

  • Sometimes, calibrating the battery can help improve accuracy in reporting its actual capacity. To calibrate, fully charge the battery, then use your laptop on battery power until it drains completely and shuts down. Charge it back to full without interruption.

Update BIOS and Drivers:

  • Ensure that your laptop's BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) and drivers are up to date. HP often releases updates that can improve battery performance.

Power Plan Settings:

  • Adjust your power plan settings to maximize battery life. You can do this through the Windows Power Options or any HP-specific power management software.

Replace the Battery:

  • If the battery health is consistently low, and you've tried the above steps without improvement, it may be time to replace the battery.

Remember to back up your important data before performing any hardware replacements or significant system changes

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
