Hi,

there are no Windows 11 drivers - only Windows 10 - and they are still not working.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your model, HP ENVY x360 15-ee0167ng.
Let’s try getting the sound working properly on Windows 11 25H2 using the compatible drivers and settings.

Here are the steps:

1. Install the Latest AMD Audio/Chipset Driver
– This model uses AMD drivers that also include audio components.
– Open HP Support Assistant → Updates → Check for updates.
– Install all AMD Chipset / Audio / BIOS updates shown.

2. Install the Realtek Audio Driver (Windows 10 version works)
– Go to Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers.
– Right-click Realtek Audio / Realtek High Definition Audio → Uninstall device → check Delete the driver software for this device → OK.
– Restart the laptop and then reinstall the Realtek driver using HP Support Assistant or the Windows Update automatic driver.

3. Enable the Correct Audio Output Device
– Right-click the speaker icon → Sound settings.
– Under "Output", select Realtek (High Definition Audio) or Speakers (Realtek).
– If you see "AMD High Definition Audio" selected, switch to Realtek for internal speakers.

4. Run the Microsoft Audio Troubleshooter
– Press Windows + I → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.
– Run Playing Audio and apply any fixes suggested.

5. Reset the Audio Service
– Press Windows + R, type services.msc and press Enter.
– Find Windows Audio → Right-click → Restart.
– Do the same for Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.

6. Check Optional Windows Updates
– Go to Settings → Windows Update → Advanced options → Optional updates.
– Install any Driver updates listed, especially Realtek or AMD audio.

I hope this helps.
