I have the same issue with a db0069wm laptop, also with the F.11 Rev. A BIOS.  Will we receive a BIOS update to fix the problem?

Thank you for your response.  I updated Windows to version 1809, but the gpu clock speeds are still dropping.  HP has released BIOS updates to fix the problem on other laptops, but not for this series.  The primary reason I purchased this laptop was to get the performance of a 2500u, but I didn't realize how badly it would throttle on this particlar model.

@MaggsMill, there will be new drivers for Ryzen Mobile APUs coming out in February from AMD. Hopefully they should improve performance. I am not sure if there will be a new BIOS update or not, or if there needs to be one from HP.

@MaggsMill, you can try manually editing the DSDT of your laptop which may improve performance in the time being, however this may vary from laptop to laptop. I have had performance increases up to 25W compared to the 15/17W that HP has set the laptop to. This does boost performance slightly in some applications.

Could you link a useful guide that explains DSDT?

Modifying the DSDT is modifying one of the ACPI tables on your laptop which runs when your computer starts. These tables may govern power management and various device configuration. It is not advised to do this, however you can modify and revert as long as you want with particular software.

The process of doing this is lengthy and it can't be best explained here. If you have Discord there is a group dedicated for Ryzen Mobile: https://discord.gg/jyepq . There is a full guide there.
